Deployment recap: Week 13!

Week 13:

Emotional: A little better. Talking to J can be bittersweet. I love it, but I hate the expectations I get. I want him to call this many times for this long...I want to talk about this...and I want him to just pay attention to me. I become a baby when he's in port. I try hard not to, but I do. So while I'm SOOO happy to talk to him, I'm constantly waiting for him to be able to call again.

Physical: I'm a little sun burnt. I've lost a little and that makes me happy. I haven't weighed myself yet, but a few things fit a little differently and that makes me feel better.

Communication: I hadn't heard anything in a week...then I got 6 in one day! He had been writing but they hadn't been sending! lol. Then I got phone calls yesterday and today.

What's something fun you did this week: We went to a water slide park, Mt. St. Helens and Seaside Oregon! We had a very busy, fun week!

What are you looking forward to next week: Going home. I've had so much fun here but I miss my house, pets and all of my stuff. I've had a great 8 weeks but I'm ready to be home.

What made you happy this week: Spending time with family. I had the most amazing time with my SIL at the water slides and then more fun with my cousin Sean and my Uncle Jim the past few days. I feel so very blessed to have such great people in my life.

What made you sad/mad this week:My niece and nephew moved to Idaho. I'm sad that they are leaving the majority of their support system. My mom and my sister have been there so much for them since their mom(my sister) passed away a few years ago. My niece is 12 and hitting that time where she needs someone there to guide her and ask questions.....I'm scared that she won't have that anymore.

What do you miss this week: My house. I miss just being in my own space and doing my own thing. I'm excited to be back in my routine.

How's Landon this week: Hyper. He's like the energiser bunny! I swear he never stops! Hanging out with my cousin Sean really was great for him. Sean was so good with him and he wore Landon out!

Pictures from this week:

Sean, Me and Uncle Jim hiking the trails at Mt. St. Helens.

I love this picture. It was at a lake that was made by the 1980 Volcanic blast. To the far left you can see the Volcano!

Landon and Sean playing in the ocean down in Oregon.

Landon, Sean and I went to this little aquarium at Seaside. We got to feed some seals and it was so much fun!
