LET'S HAVE SOME FUN, SHALL WE??? We all need a little stress-reliever! This only takes a minute.
Please don't be a bore & ruin it. Sometimes when you have a stressful day or week, you need some silliness to break up the day. If we are honest, we have a lot more stressful days than not.
Here is your dose of humor...

Follow the instructions to find your new name.

And don't go all adult - a senior manager is now known far & wide as Dorky Gizzardsniffer!

The following is excerpted from a children's book, Captain Underpants And the Perilous Plot Professor Poopypants, by Dave Pilkey, in which the evil Professor forces everyone to assume new names...
So:-

1. Use the third letter of your first name to determine your New first name:

a = snickle b = doombah c = goober d = cheesey e = crusty f = greasy g = dumbo h = farcus i = dorky j = doofus k = funky l = boobie m = sleezy n = sloopy o = fluffy p = stinky q = slimy r = dorfus s = snooty t = tootsie u = dipsy v = sneezy w = liver x = skippy y = dink y z = zippy

2. Use the second letter of your last name to determine the first half of your new last name:

a = dippin b = feather c = batty d = burger e = chicken f = barffy g = lizard h = waffle i = farkle j = monkey k = flippin l = fricken m = bubble n = rhino o = potty p = hamster q = buckle r = gizzard s = lickin t = snickle u = chuckle v = pickle w = hubble x = dingle y = gorilla z = girdle

3. Use the third letter of your last name to determine the second half of your new last name:

a = butt b = boob c = face d = nose e = hump f = breath g = pants h = shorts i = lips j = honker k = head l = tush m = chunks n = dunkin o = brains p = biscui ts q = toes r = doodle s = fanny t = sniffer u = sprinkles v = frack w = squirt x = humperdinck y = hiney z = juice

Thus, for example, George W. Bush's new name is: Fluffy Chucklefanny.

How cute!

My friend has a cafepress and she has made a few shirts for me. Check it out.

It's been a while

I know I have been a slacker. But to be honest I have been so busy and emotionaly drained that I couldn't think straight. I am no longer the President of the FSG, and I'm kind of happy about it. I can now just go to meetings and enjoy them, join only the committees that I want to and finally have the time to be at home with my child. I have been so overwhelmed with everything and with Landon and I only getting to be home maybe one day a week I was at my limit. I was done. So now I am. I was upset for a few hours but honestly I need to get my life back in order, clean my house and spend some good quality time with my son.

On a great note, Justin called and he got his fish! He got them 6 months early! I'm so proud of him. He has worked so hard and I'm glad it is paying off for him. He got one of my care packages (#2 not #1) and liked what I sent him. I miss him so much and I can't wait to talk to him more today. I feel like I want to tell him everything but don't have the time to do it.

Sorry to all of my readers (lol) I will do better at writing since I now have the time and mind to do it!

Park and pictures

Mandy, Landon and I all went to the park this past week and took pictures to send to the boys. The park was AMAZING! It had some old buildings, a beach, tons of gardens and open fields for days! Here are some of the pictures that we took.

I am also learning how to edit photos and change colors and what not (a goal of deployment "Learn a new hobby").

With the mailman comes packages!

Today I got a package from Justin. He sent it from Greece! It was mostly for Landon but had a few things in it for me as well. He sent me a beautiful scarf and some great postcards. He sent Landon a French soccer toy and a Greek soccer Jersey. Justin's love of soccer has carried over to Landon, I guess that's what we get for naming him after a famous soccer player.

We had our first Book Club meeting today. We had 30 minutes of talking about the book and then 2 hours of chatting. Its so great to talk with people who are going through the same thing as you but are in a different part of life. I'm the newbie stay-at-home mom who doesn't know much yet. Everyone else has been doing this for years. Maybe one day I will be the one giving advice.

I have a lot of pictures I will be posting tomorrow of my trip to Harkness Park today. Mandy and I went and took pictures to send to our men. It was a great day that ended with a new love of a park!

Kid City

Today Landon and I went along with Samantha to Kid City. Let me tell you how AMAZING it was! You go from room to room and everything is different. They have a room for everything! It was so much fun watching the kids play. But not so much fun watching rude parents let their kids do whatever they want. They had so much fun that they were so bummed to have to leave. I think we will be making a trek back there sometime soon.

The School room.

Train room with hot air balloon.

Sadie...she liked me today!

Block room.

I guess they tasted good.....

Fish & Boat room

Market with VW Bug.

Fish & Boat room. Surf board with sharks around it.

Kitchen. Steam came out of the faucets. It was so cool!

Washing dishes.

In Jail in the little town.

It has been nice doing all of these great things with Landon. It keeps him and I busy and while it takes up most of the day it also wipes us out! The more fun things we do, the more time passes and the sooner Justin will be home.

Oh and I buzzed Landon's hair today. I hate it when it gets long.

Again!

I had an idea that gift #2 was coming today but I didn't know for sure. Sure enough I get a knock on my door and this was waiting there for me!

I love yellow roses!

He always adds in a little card and they are always so sweet!

Since my gift came in the mail today I knew it was time to give Landon his (I have them all in the laundry room ready to go, marked with what months Justin said to give them to him). Even though I am the one who gives them to him he still knows that they are from Daddy.

Landon helped me pick which vase to put them in and told me where he wanted them to go.

He always has them sent at the perfect time! Next months gifts for both Landon and I are already in the house....I haven't peeked yet! So I get to pick when in September we get to open them. I think it will be right before we leave to go to the airport to go back home for a few weeks.

Be kind. Rewind.

I haven't written in while so I have a lot to share (pictures mostly). Landon and I are doing great. We have been so busy that time is flying by. He loves doing craft projects so we do a big one at least every other day now and he loves that. The missionaries from church came over and helped us weed the gardens and now they look so nice! Then the next night my neighbor Mandy came over for a movie night. IF you have not watched "Be kind. Rewind" then you need to. It was a good laugh, as are most of Jack Blacks movies.

Hummey-Hotdog sleeping during the movie.

Mandy and Landon. He crashed 15 minutes into it.

Outside with the Missionaries.

His "hopscotch"

Here are some pictures from our stamping fun. He loves it so much, but I don't have the guts to let him do it without my help yet.

Blessed.

Justin called and woke me up today. Its only 7:30 in the morning and as most of you know I am never up this early. We got to talk for a while and it was just what I needed. He has a few things he wants to do and then I will hear back from him in a bit. I feel so grateful that he was able to call me and talk for as long as we did. Oh well I'm off to bed to get a little more sleep until he calls again in a hour or two.

Phone calls!

Hearing him say "I love you" is a thing that I no longer take for granted. It used to be something we said every night before bed, but now its only on those rare occasions that he gets to call me. It hasn't been too long since his last port but I still miss his voice so much! I got to talk to him for a little while today and while I wish it was longer I will take what I can get. He has picked up a few things for Landon and I and once again is excited to send them home. Hes not getting much sleep but is having an alright time. He has also finished his qual card!!!! Which means he will be getting his fish soon and 6 months early at that!!! I'm so proud of him. He has worked his butt off. I know its a long way off but I can't wait until I am standing on that pier waiting for him to walk off. It will feel like boot camp all over again!

I'm off to bed I should be getting another call in just a few hours and I need to rest up!
