New House Part Two: Paint!

I knew right away that I wanted to paint at least a few of the rooms. So the day we got the keys, I had paint for the living room and Little's room sitting in my car! We painted that afternoon with the help of 6 missionaries from our church! It was a ton of fun.

I do have to admit, that I was that crazy person, who taped paint samples to her wall weeks before hand, just so I knew what colors I wouldn't get sick of. Thank goodness It worked! I'm not sick of the paint I picked...and everyone else seems to like it to!

For now, this is all the painting we are doing.  A piece of me really wants to do the master....but I can't settle on a theme for my bedding let alone pick a color for the walls!

New House Part One: Empty!

Here are the pictures I took of the house the day we got the keys! I'm mostly adding them so I can look back and see all the progress we have made. This is the first time we have ever made one of our houses a real home(it only took us till the 5th one!).

It feels weird going back through these pictures after we've lived here for a few months! Every room is full now! CRAZY!

Part Two tomorrow!

Starting out slow......

I never knew that something like moving to a new house could make the world of difference....but it has.  I've never been happier! I LOVE not being attached to anyone. I love that we can listen to our TV as loud as we want in the livingroom and bedroom and not worry that we are waking someone up, I love that I don't feel guilty if my phone rings late at night and I have one of those conversations with my sister where I sounds like a dying hyena due to my laughing. Having a fenced in yard is a DREAM! Little and the dog are in heaven. The dogs just runs back and forth all day and I don't stay on top of little when he wants to hang out in the back yard. One floor is just as I had dreamed.....easy. The days of packing our groceries up a flight up stairs are now far behind us and boy am I happy about that!!!

We are still unpacking and I feel like it's a never ending supply of boxes, but we ARE getting there. My Mother-in-law is here now and is a great help with helping me get organized. My office now has visible carpet!!!!!!! Haha. I'm taking full advantage of her being here and making myself stay on track!

I have a ton of pictures of the new house that I will be posting soon. I also have a TON from Mexico that I want to put up.

Why, Hello there!

It's been a while. While we were moving our computer crashed.......more like died. We sent it in and after what seemed like FOREVER, we have it back!!!!!

I have sooooo many things to post about! We moved!, went to Mexico, Little has been in all sorts of amazing camps all summer and we've done some really great projects!

I'm going to be overloading you with posts in the next month or so, so be ready!  My silence wasn't something to get used to.
