Deployment Recap: Week 12!

Week 12:

Emotional: Boooo. *TMI* Aunt Flo showed and I'm an emotional wreck. I find that I'm getting mad at Landon quicker and just want to cry/yell most of the time. That's what I get for being on a 2 month cycle.....way too many hormones.

Physical: Sick. Aunt Flo and stress aren't a good mix. I've been puky for the past 4 days and I'm over it!

Communication: Not much. I haven't been writing so he hasn't either.

What's something fun you did this week: We took a girls trip to Forks! It was soooo much fun! We stayed at the most amazing B&B there.

What are you looking forward to next week: Going to Mt. St. Helens and to Sea Side Oregon.

What made you happy this week: Not many people know this since it's not something I share often. But I don't like to drive. Never have. I wasn't one of those kids in high school that couldn't wait to drive. I had no desire. At all. But I have needed to get my license for a long time and I finally did it after putting it off for years! I passed on my first try! I'm uber proud of myself and while I don't think I will be driving much, at least I can.

What made you sad/mad this week: Me being cranky. I hate getting mad at Landon. While I haven't been yelling I've been getting mad a lot more and have lost a lot of my patience. I need to work on getting better and letting things go a little more.

What do you miss this week: J knowing how to calm me down when I get wound up.

How's Landon this week: Testy. I have no patience and he's pushing my buttons. The two don't mix. I know he's 5 and a boy. I need to calm down and let him be. He's also spending a lot of time with his cousins and is way over tired. I hope next week is better for him.

I wanted to invite you to follow my blog. My husband is joining to be joining the Navy, right now his leave date is 3/9/11, but we are waiting to see if his clearances go through for the Nuclear program, which would allow him to leave sooner. The waiting and not knowing has been overly frustrating for me and would love some insight from another Navy wife.

I got my license when I was 18 and felt old, so I can kind of relate. Congrats! I am scratching my head, though, at how you got around town without a car when your hubby wasn't around. I remember the base being really small, but everything else felt far out there.
